The Atheln Ophthalmic Development Team supports clients on CMC, nonclinical, clinical, and regulatory activities, and management of CMOs/CROs. We cover all API modalities (small molecules, peptides, proteins, mABs, fusion proteins, cell therapies, etc.), formulation types (solutions, suspensions, gels, sustained release, etc.), delivery modalities (topical, intracameral / intravitreal injectables, etc.) and device-drug combination products (biodegradable implants, IOLs, etc.).
In the last 13 years, the Atheln Ophthalmic Development Team has supported 23 companies on 32 projects for most ophthalmic indications. Services spanned from due diligence (in/out licensing, alternative indication assessments) to full development programs up to Ph 3 clinical studies and NDA filings.
