Housing Warning
NOTICE REGARDING UNAUTHORIZED HOUSING PROVIDERS
APTA reminds its exhibitors that the ONLY company officially sanctioned and certified by APTA to book hotel rooms on behalf of its exhibitors and attendees is Expovision. We have no affiliation with other 3rd party hotel room brokers soliciting EXPO exhibitors.
We have received several reports from exhibitors who have booked hotel rooms through various 3rd parties only to subsequently learn that no reservations are in place with the promised hotel and deposits are not being returned.
Additionally, the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with other city Convention Bureaus, are reporting hundreds of complaints from trade show managers who are receiving similar reports from exhibiting companies who booked rooms through a “3rd party room broker” and ended up at sold out hotels with no reservations and no recourse for the payment of rooms. These brokers are falsely implying they have hotel room contracts at favorable pricing and secure non-refundable deposits and full prepayment from unsuspecting exhibiting companies.
While APTA pursues all legal channels to halt this practice when brought to our attention, there are too many opening up every day. Please report any contact you may receive from one of these 3rd parties.

Unauthorized Solicitation for EXPO Booth Displays, A/V, Carpet and Other Services
We have been notified by EXPO exhibitors regarding emails, mailings and/or calls they are receiving from companies using the APTA EXPO name to offer booth displays, A/V, carpet sales, shipping and other services. APTA evaluates and chooses vendors who offer superior service and quality products to exhibitors and has negotiated special rates and discounted turn-key booth packages for exhibitors.
PLEASE NOTE: Download this PDF to see a list of all official EXPO show vendors. Please report any inquiries you receive for services, shipping, AV, design/building, etc. Be assured that EXPO never provides exhibitor lists to those other than official EXPO vendors. If you have received an email or a phone call and are not sure if this is an official show vendor, please do not hesitate to contact EXPO Show Management at 703-683-8500.
