The National Eye Institute (NEI) is part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). Its mission is to eliminate vision loss and improve quality of life through vision research, which it supports through research and training grants awarded to scientists at more than 250 medical centers, hospitals, universities, and other institutions across the country and around the world. Additionally, NEI conducts basic, clinical, and translational research on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland, providing training opportunities for scientists at various experience levels.

Visit the NEI booth to speak with staff about funding and training opportunities; collaborating, licensing, and co-developing NEI technologies; and promoting your research with NEI communications. Staff will be available to answer questions about the NEI National Ophthalmic Disease Genotyping and Phenotyping Network (eyeGENE®).
