EarlySight, see the invisible.

EarlySight, a Swiss startup, has developed the Cellularis Discovery: an ultra-high-performance eye imaging instrument that boasts a tenfold increase in resolution down to the cellular level.

This innovation enhances our understanding of degenerative processes in the eye.

The Cellularis Discovery stands out for its ability to simultaneously image the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and photoreceptor cells (PR) with a few micrometers of lateral resolution across a nearly 7° field of view, while also providing a standard 30° fundus image.

Images of the nerve fiber layer (NFL) are also available with cellular-level resolution.

To date, more than 550 patients, primarily at various stages of AMD, but also CSCR and inherited retinal diseases, have been examined using this device. It has not only revealed the expected abnormalities, such as soft drusen, pseudo drusen, pre-atrophy, atrophy, and neovascularization, with high precision but also some subclinical changes at the RPE and PR levels.

Brands: Our technology is the first to provide non-invasive images of the retinal pigment epithelium cells in human in only few seconds.
