G081/Mobility Air Forces Logistics Command & Control (MAF Log C2) is the central common source of all unclassified aircraft maintenance data for tactical and strategic airlift, and aerial refueling aircraft. Supporting the Air Mobility Command (AMC) global mission, G081 provides worldwide visibility of aircraft status, location, and availability of all MAF (ANG, AFRC, AETC, USAFE, and PACAF) aircraft. G081 accumulates, validates, processes, stores, and makes information accessible to USTRANSCOM, Air Force, and AMC managers. G081 is comprised of an On-line Transactional Processing System (OLTP), Operational Data Store (ODS) for Global Reach Reporting, and a translational engine (BROKER) between G081 and AMC C2 systems (e.g., Global Decision Support System-GDSS). The system uses an agile spiral development process to support the maintenance production environment, providing incremental software releases. In the near future, G081 will function as the sole technical baseline for all field maintenance system activities collapsing IMDS, EMOC, and RAMPOD functionality into a Single Maintenance Information System.
