Mission

The Air Force Historical Foundation educates and promotes the preservation and appreciation of the history and heritage of the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force. 

Execution

• We hold bi-monthly book club interactive events with notable Air and Space authors. 
• We have initiated the 9/12 Oral History Project to collect and preserve personal stories post 9/11 from U.S. Air and U.S. Space Force members.
• We have begun a partnership with Air and Space museums to showcase the history and legacy of Air and Space operations.
• We have a robust annual awards program that recognizes units as well as individuals for outstanding contributions to Air and Space.
• We are establishing a searchable Digital Archive in partnership with the University of Alabama to foster the education of Air and Space Force history.

Vision

To be the recognized guardian of the history and legacy of the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Space Force, and predecessor organizations.  We accomplsih this through accurate and quantitative historical engagement with the goal of shaping thought and action.
