Dept. of the Air Force School Liaison Program
School Liaisons provide targeted preK-12 education support and services, contributing directly to mission readiness, retention, future of the force and QOL. Serves as the Installation OPR/SME, advisor for PreK-12 Education engagements, initiatives, and concerns, Public Schools on Military Installations, Support of Military Families Strategic Basing and Youth Military & Family Life Counseling. SLs stand ready to assist commanders, educators and families to enhance PreK-12 opportunities in communities and states. SLs impact educational environments for military-connected students, supporting academic, physical, and social-emotional stability. Service models are Command Advisement, Education Community Partnerships & Engagement, State Ed Advocacy, Installation-School-Community Communications, Transition & Deployment Support, Homeschool, Special Ed Navigation, College-Career-Military Readiness, Educator Prof. Development, Compliance for Interstate Compact (MIC3) and Scholarship-Grants.
