THE MODAL SHOP, INC.’s Nondestructive Test Resonant Acoustic Method (NDT-RAMTM) systems are ideal for quality assurance testing for manufacturers or users of cast parts in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods.
With no part preparation required, the NDT-RAM technique objective identifies resonant frequency shifts caused by internal and external flaws such as nodularity, cracks, voids, material density, and missed manufacturing processes (such as heat treating), eliminating errors that come from subjective methods such as visual inspection. Testing can occur as fast as three seconds per part, allowing for efficient quality control testing of 100% of parts produced.
